Trials make you stronger!

I've been reading in the Book of Mormon the last couple of days. I'm in Alma where the Nephites have many battles against the Lamanites. For some reason, I was particularly interested in the part when Captain Moroni wrote to Pahoran, who was the Chief Judge of the Nephites, to request additional armies and provisions. Captain Moroni never hears from him and assumes that he has abandoned them. When he finally gets word from Pahoran, wicked Nephites have also driven him down, thus he is also having a hard time.

In the footnotes, it states the following:

"Pahoran realizes that whatever our trials may be, it is important that we trust in and obey the Lord. President James E. Foust explained, "Let us not presume that because the way is at times difficult and challenging, our Heavenly Father is not mindful of us. He is rubbing off our rough edges and sensitizing (preparing) us for our great responsibilities ahead"."

It totally made me think of all that we go through. I think of my family members, great friends, and wonderful neighbors who are going through some really hard things. To you I say, "Hang in there!!!!! You WILL make it through this and you WILL be stronger because you TRUST in and obey the LORD!!!!!"
