National Pancake Week

I have to write this down cause it made me laugh.

While we were in the hospital, the computer moniters in the rooms had screen savers on them that would come on when the nurses were not in the room. They showed little advertisements and announcements of stuff going on in the hospital. One of the screens was a shot of some pancakes and said that Feb 22 - 28 is national pancake week.

On Saturday when Kally woke up she asked me what the date was. I told her it was the 28th. She exclaimed "Today is the last day of national pancake week!" It was hilarious. Needless to say, we ordered her some pancakes for breakfast. When I asked her how they were, she said they were good, but not as good as the ones we make. Kally is the pancake maker at our house. We have a really good recipe that Klays mom gave us and she makes them all the time.

Another funny story is that when Angela and Derrick came to visit us, Angela told Kally about when she had to have IV's when she was young and our grandparents gave her $5 if she would be really brave and not cry. Angela told Kally she should tell her grandparents about this and let them know that she didn't cry for any of her IV's (which ended up being a total of 5 different ones). She calculated that for me, so I gave her $25 when we got home.

I am so glad you are home! Every moment of "known" insanity makes the craziness of the world more manageable. We're thinking of you.
